Hanukkah Celebration

Today Mrs. Franck shared her Jewish heritage with the class. She read a great story that explained the miracle of the oil. Then Mrs. Franck put her kippah on and she and Rosie lit the candles on her menorah and sang the blessings. They used the shammash, the helper candle, to light all the candles in the menorah. After that, everyone got to try her scrumptious latkes dipped in applesauce. Then she helped them make a latke frying pan flipping game that your child brought home tonight. Have a contest and see who can flip the most latkes. Thank you Mrs. Franck, we learned a lot!
